Menekse is an experienced lighting designer with over 15 years of experience working on projects across the globe.

 

Before setting up her own studio, she worked for prominent companies such as Lichtvision, Fagerhult Group, and Arup while living in Germany, Turkey, and Ireland. In addition, she has worked in all architectural lighting fields, from designing, engineering, and manufacturing to teaching and advocating.

 

Menekse also taught lighting as a part-time lecturer at Technological University Dublin, Ireland. She continues to deliver talks at universities and professional organizations.

 

She was the Irish representative for the CIBSE Society of Light and Lighting (SLL) and the Irish Ambassador for the Women In Lighting (WIL) initiative until 2023.

Now based in Dubai, when Menekse is not playing with light, she sails, designs jewellery, travels, or simply enjoys a cup of specialty coffee.
